Hi everyone! School is great...two grad programs at the same time are really kicking my rear end. Juggling the work is the hardest part. It is not really hard work, it is just a lot of it, but I can definetely say that I found my niche. All first year urban planning students from GaTech will be attending a field trip in Charleston for the latter part of next week, so this is a much needed break, and would'nt you know that the following week has two papers due, and the week after that offers fall break--still have not decided what I am going to do yet. Tropical Depression 10 sounded exciting, I was hoping for some rain in north GA from it, but that has yet to occur. Leaving UGA was hard...I actually caught myself saying "we" in reference to GaTech football a few days ago.

Born and raised in Athens. Trust me, there are worse things than calling the Yellow Jackets "we". ;-)

How do you like living in Atlanta? Beach Jacket loves it -- she never comes home because she gets bored here as compared to being there.
Be careful BTW. GT parents got an email yesterday about three students being robbed this week on campus and a deceased student found in his dorm room, as well as regarding the former student found dead in a vehicle on campus several weeks ago. The street people from the halfway houses and those that literally live on the street (a bunch of them live near campus under the overpasses) are getting more and more aggressive about coming up to cars stopped at traffic lights on/near campus. Last Saturday when I walked to CVS to get Beach Jacket some "sick food" because she was feeling awful, I was harrassed and followed by these people. From now on I'm driving to CVS. It's scary -- I told Beach Jacket to get some pepper spray.
Fine..... hows mom and themOr as a true Southerner would say, "mama 'nem."
