I'm going to do my best to post news releases, re:this type of info. :nono1: :nono1: :nono1: This Mother accepted $1600, as an evacuee and offer of housing, from an ATL resident. When the woman's SON indicated to the resident, that he was already in the neighborhood school, the jig was up! :clap_1: She was arrested and charged, as she should be! Poor child, can't help but feel for him!! :(

Diane, I can appreciate your concern and outrage over the fraudulent use of relief money. However, while I am sure there will be lots "misspent" in this fashion ("cause there will always be arseholes that take advantage), I think everyone needs to focus on the relief effort and putting lives back together. We don't have the manpower to waste on tracking down $2000 debit card thieves- and there will be many I'm sure, because this is a numbers game, and with this many people, a certain percentage will be criminals. How do you think the drug addicts are going to buy their drugs? This money will not be spent the way we would all like it to be, but that is society. The temptation is too great. Unfortunately this relief effort is so huge- and there is no way to watch every stinking dime that goes out. If these people happen to be caught "cause law enforcement was in the right place at the right time, fine. If not, screw'em- we have much bigger fish to fry. I personally would rather see everyone involved working now to find bodies and animals. Cleaning and clearing. The paperpushers can be helping people start the claims process and get them some cash for the time being. Let's start focusing on the positives here- the survivors, the heroes, and the future.

I saw that but decided not to post it since the source was an "un-named clerk" at a mall cited in a tabloid paper. It was also linked from that KKK site.
