Thanks everyone! I left the country a spring chicken and came back an old bag. 
This is what we did.

Not my youtube birthday punt but someone else's, but you get the idea of what floats the boat in Oxford. Trust me, it's not as efficient as kayaking. But tons of funn anyway. But that's the part about there being a pub just down the river... (And no, I didn't fall in but I still got plenty wet!)
