I'm assuming the strong metallic ocean smell making my throat tickle is red tide?
Here's my question. I put my comforters outside to air out while I did laundry this morning. When I went outside a few minutes ago I'm getting a whiff of what I think is red tide. Are my comforters ruined? Does the icky get into fabric?

very good question. don't know. I've never heard of anyone say such. But, I would certainly bring them in and either wash again, or at least put 'em in the dryer.
just got a report of red tide in seagrove. friends just left the beach. flies are out as well.

My nose is all stuffy, but I figured it was just too much beer/partying. Glad to be able to blame it on red tide instead, but I didn't notice anything when I was outside saturday or sunday.
