A few days ago I was really looking forward to it. Entered the timed event. Yesterday around 4 I knew I was getting sick. Woke up with a viral infection in my sinuses :bang: . Really dreading the event at that point. The whole fam was entered. I decided to do the funn run instead. Really glad I did. It was a great event on a Chamber Of Commerce Day. Really emotional when somebody would pass you with a "in memory of ... " sign on their back. I lost my brother to cancer 20 years ago. Brought back some memories. As I said, really glad I went

Wow,sounds like a grayt run! :D Sorry to hear you lost your brother to cancer 20 years ago. :( He must've been young. Cancer just sucks! Wish we would find a cure. It took my dad too, 8 years ago. Hopefully, a cure will be found soon. Thanks for 'racing for a cure', Otter family.

Yay for you RO! It took my grandfather and his father too, almost took my stepmom a few years ago (breast cancer) but she has been cancer free for 7 years now. Thanks for running for them too.

:bow::wub: Thank you RO. My family and I have participated in the race for the cure many times. As a two time survivor myself it is quite a thrilling, emotional, and overwhelming experience for my entire family. Thanks for participating. ;-)

Thanks for running for a cure, RO. Sorry about your brother. I lost my mom to cancer about 5 years ago and 3 of my close friends were diagnosed with breast cancer within the past 3 years (all are doing quite fine right now, though they've had a tough road back to good health and one is still working her way back to good health). There have been so many advancements due to the research funding, but not enough to find a cure yet.

It's amazing how many people are impacted by cancer. We are a relatively small office, of the 25 people here we have lost 10 parents to cancer in the past 3 years. Your brother would be very proud of you. Nice going RO.
