What is your first memory?

Mine was when I was about 3ish I remember my uncle being home from the navy, he was standing in the kitchen leaning against a counter and I loved the huge white bellbottoms that were part of his sailor uniform.

Mornin' ya'll~ Sweet memory.
In a hospital!:floor::funn::rofl::yikes::idontno:

:lolabove:

I remember telling my twin sister to move over in the womb.

:lolabove:

Seriously, they did not know my mom was having twins. Back in "those" days, fathers couldn't go in the delivery room. After we were delivered the nurse walks out to the waiting area behind the glass holding both of us. My dad looks at her and says "which one is mine", she said "both of them". My dad fainted. The next day he went and knocked on all his neighbors doors to tell them he had twin girls.

Nursing did have its funn moments occasionally. :funn:

duh yea, with a touch of red :yikes:

Makes me not so smart and have a temper :floor:
:lolabove:

I have a friend in the business and she has taught me some things about it.

What actually started me thinking about it was, after my mom passed away and I went and did her makeup and hair because she begged me too. You see my mom shaved her eyebrows and then always drew them back on with eye pencil. She always said "Honey, please make sure my eyebrows are on during the viewing". So I did. I figured it was the last thing I could do for. I also figured if I could do it for my mom, I could do it for anyone. I would like to do it for the families left behind. Believe me I know it is not all about hair and makeup, but I still would love to do it.

:wub:Aww sweet kd. I am sorry about your momma. I bet her brows were beautiful that day. A childhood friend of mine's mom did people's hair for a funeral home. Remember hearing a couple stories. I find forensics investigating very interesting, like Jordan and remember Quincy, played by Jack Klugman? I think it's sweet you would want to help the dead look pretty one more time.

:lolabove:Now that would be :creepy:

Safe Travels DD, and have a grayt time!!!

Favorite musician: Bruce Springsteen: Went to a concert in B'ham in 1984. The man played for 4 hours with a 15 minute break. The BEST concert I have ever been to.

Nope never saw ZZ Top or Willie Nelson...my mom did see Willie he was her favorite.

Yes, I would be the Alabama gull.

Yes, saw Skynard play and loved them!

My favorite swimming hole in Alabama is a little beachy area on the Tennessee River close to my house.

Darlene I couldn't agree with you more on the Bruce concert thing. He plays forever and I was literally exhausted after his show. I don't see how he does it. But I loved it.

I know...and guess what? He is starting a new tour. :clap:However, when I bought my tickets back in 1984 they were $20.00. I am sure I would probably have to take out a second mortgage on my home to afford one now.

That's what I paid the scalper in front of Lakeland Civic Center in 1980. :clap:It was The River tour. I decided it would be worth it as the line got more crowded as I had my infant baby with me. Hubba was a big fan and we were still practically newlyweds and I wanted to surprise him. I was the one surprised after that show. I did not know I 'd Bruce til then. He's a worker bee. ;-) So is Mr. Eric Clapton. Lord have mercy. ;-) Have you seen him? How about John Fogerty from Creedence? He rocks it too.

I would need to go into training to do a Bruce concert. It's like a marathon. A group of us from work went to see him in Rupp Arena after the release of The Rising (his 9/11 tribute). The company rented a limo for the ride to Lexington, so we started drinking on the way. Our seats were up pretty high, the upper tier of Rupp is scary with heels and alcohol. I didn't sit down until we got back in the limo and then I was whupped. I can't party with the Boss like it's the 80's. I know we paid alot more than $20 for the concert after 9/11, I'd hate to think what it'd cost today. But you certainly get your moneys worth with him.
