System should become Rita this afternoon and should be entering the GOM early this week. Everybody keep a good watch. Conditions in the Gulf are suppose to be favorable for strengthening.

the straits of Florida and enter the Gulf of Mexico as a Hurricane.

From the Florida Straits where does she go? With each model run, the possible tracks of Rita include more and more of Louisiana. I hope this trend does not continue. Unfortunately I think it will.
