:floor:That is too funny! :funn: On a side note....the biggest roach I have ever seen was in Florida, that thing was the size of a mouse. :yikes:

I've been living in Florida for over 5 years and I am still freaked out by cockroaches.

Thankfully, they keep delivering extra phone books to my house, allowing me to shriek and throw a phonebook at the nasty critters. They may be able to survive nuclear war, but so far the Yellow Pages is undefeated vs. cockroach!

Maybe R.O. can help me out with this, but Bloom County once had a conversation between Opus and a cockroach. The roach was bragging about how it could survive cold, heat, starvation, blah, blah, blah. In the last frame, Opus squished him.

That's why I don't understand SCREAMING at bugs.

(Wait a minute. I already confessed that I can't kill those cave crickets that get in my house without raining down every curse in my vocabulary on them and promising them an undignified burial in a toilet...)

Steven has you all beat. He had a bat in his apartment this week....it is an old dorm with common hallways. He and his roommate thought it was a piece of trash on the floor (boys!), until it moved. Using the lid of the kitchen trash can and a lacrosse stick, they escorted it out the front door. Then I find out there is a 1 1/2 inch gap at the bottom of the door. Glad I am not paying utilities!

It's more of an exclamation of horrified surprise combined w/ a "you will die for invading my space" battle cry!

:floor: Yeah stereotypes! :floor:

As for the palmetto bugs, if you ever have a guest/renter call and complain about the enormous roaches, tell them they are palmetto bugs and due to EPA regs cannot be killed only captured and returned to their native palmetto. :yikes:
