I'm not sure the about the current temp in the Gulf along our beaches, but I bet it's about 8 degrees warmer than our lake temps. Since about this time last month, our Coastal Dune Lake temps have dropped about 10 degrees, down to 68-69F degrees -- pretty cold.

Great, will that kill off the over abundance of weeds? Congrats on 21,000.

Wow. 21K

I'm glad to hear the temps are dropping (air and water). Hubby is doing his first Ironman in PCB beach next Saturday and he was getting worried about the weather. It's going to be a LONG day and hopefully it will not be hot.

I haven't notice the weeds to which you refer. Perhaps you are talking about the Ditch Weed which was killed off several months ago by the rain runoff increasing the turbity in the lakes. As I understand it, the Lakes probably don't get gold enough to kill weeds. Cold air however, will.
