Which team is televised in the area? Jaguars, Saints, Buccaneers? Just wondering whether I will be able to catch some of the Steelers/Jaguars game while I am there.

Falcons, esp since half the coaching staff and team invest here.

If you head to the bars - you can see many different games televised. Every October when we are down there the guys all head to the sports bar for an afternoon of NFL action. We have friends that meet down there every October from all over and I think they have managed to see whatever game they want.

Really?? That is surprising - isn't NO or Jacksonville closer?

You are going to have to head towards Destin Johnny O'Quigleys in the shopping center across 98 from the Bass Pro Shop or the bowling alley right near Mid-Bay Bridge Rd. They both have a ton of TV's set up - sometimes they have to ask for the game they want - but no problem getting it turned on at least one of the TV's

There is a sports bar, which I have never heard of anyone going to, located in the old Pizza Hut location in the strip mall on Hwy 98, just west of Hwy 393.

I believe NOLA is about a 5 hour drive, Atlanta is about 5.25 hours, Jacksonville is probably a touch further. Remember back to the days before FL had a pro baseball team? FL cheared for the Braves. AL, SC and NC did too. Maybe that carried over into football.

Thanks everyone for the info & suggestions! I can't decide whether I want to sacrifice a sunny day at the beach for the game but want to be prepared in case of inclement weather or if I decide that I need my Sunday Steeler fix.

The new Shades at Inlet Beach has the NFL package and several TVs. Also, a new sports bar opened up in one of those two strip malls on 98 (the one closest to Shrimpers, I think).
