It isn't funny at all. Craigslist is actually a website that people use for classified ads. A young lady answered an ad there last week for a "couple" that was looking for a nanny. She went to interview with them. When she got there, it was a young 19 year old guy. He lured her there for the purpose of murdering her. It was very sad. It has been all over the news this week. What I meant was, that I am sure alot of people have tried to go to "Craigslist" since this happened, but forgot the first "s" and are taken to that porn sight. Hence my warning not to go there.

Kathy, that's so horrible. I've always been suspicious of Craigslist. I know there are lots of legitimate ads on it but you always hear about the other kind too, like this example--and way too often. Not as extreme as murder, thankfully, but just general skanky ads that make you shudder.

Suffice it to say it is a listing of serious Porn. Which in a way does not surprise me. These sites are notorious for buying domains with one letter off a very popular site such as Craigslist.

Just as I innocently mistyped the word, so will many others. They also do it with popular toll free numbers. The sad thing is many young people looking for honest sites, fall into this crap. :angry:

Kathy that is horrible, that is first I have heard of it, but after doing a search found many articles about it. It happened in Minnesota.

I was searching for a truck, I think I will go back to the local papers. It makes me so sad, to see what the world has become.

I was reading USAtoday about Chiquita banana corportion paying extremeist groups blood money to leave them alone.

The other big article was about the cost to all of us due to stolen copper wiring.

It is a very sad world at times, and makes me ever more thankful that I found you guys.

Thanks Minnie and Darlene for the warnings. Craigslist has always made me rather nervous since it is a more local sales tool as opposed to e-bay.
My sister has been shopping on Craigslist for another stroller, so this was a timely warning.
