A Centenarian's Day!

The big party is today for my Grandfather in the City. Family mostly flew in yesterday and some friends that we grew up with. There may also be some special celeb guests. ;-)

To be presented, a letter from President Bush, a gift package from the New York Mets, a scrap book and video of his life and a slide show of Muro Lucano, Potenza, Italy where my grandfather migrated from.

I can't tell you what a hassle it was to find high resolution photos, especially older ones of Potenza, but eventually we found some on-line through geneology sites and this gentleman was so kind to e-mail them to us.

His birthday was Halloween, and he thinks that we are just taking him to lunch today. (Well he's putting on a good show anyway)

He loves to see the pictures I bring back from Sowal especially the Hodowns where everyone is dressed up and all.
He blushes when I tell him the wenches have sent kisses his way. :blush:

Which reminds me to pack some of the pictures from the last hodown.
Well most of them anyway. :lol:

I love this Mango!! What a special day for all of you- takes lots of pictures!

I plan to. It's not everyday everyone is in the same place for a special occasion. :wave:

AWWWW, I just LOVE the pictures... especially the one with the kids around him. What a great family you have. Boy, Gramps looks so good and baby brother doesn't look 86 at all. Y'all got some good genes.
