and why??

I have several subscriptions running out and instead of renewing I thought I would try something new.....

My 2 faves

1. Real Simple- has lots of information from every aspect. Love the organizing part and the tools with 2 uses section...

2. Taste of Home- magazine that is nothing but recipes and cooking info. THe best part, no advertising!!!! They also have great pictures of the finished product which I love as well...

I had to let Southern Living and Coastal Living expire- the same articles, recipes, houses, and landscapes every freaking month, plus too many blow ins and ads. If I see one more recipe for pork tenderloin and "that new salad" chinese chicken salad, I'm gonna puke. SL has had the same recipes for the 20 years that I have been reading it, and I swear they recycle the same WASPY looking families every month too (hey Buffy.....).

(((( the above comment is so jdarg...))))) you go girl, to the point....

YES! Rip those freakin' cardboard cr*ppy things out and then tell me how to send them back!!! :bang::pissed::biggrin::wave: Oh, and the damm sh*tty perfume ads that stink up the place!!!:roll::angry:

I gave up SL years ago. Couldn't stand one more fabric skirted table. I did have a hard time saying goodbye to Coastal Living, but when I couldn't remember if I had read it by looking at the "same" cover over and over with the same ads over and over, it was easier.

Can you tell I am in a mood? PSSSSSSS...hadn't done that in a long time. This transition back to big D living is not going so well.

IBD...THANK YOU :clap::clap:
Now I can at least get a "fix" online (which is Never as comforting to me as actually cradling a book ... but beats nothing at all!)

AdBusters.....because it reminds me of my youth when I was so involved with being anti-consumerist.

InStyle......keeps me up with what's the newest trends.

Chocolatier Magazine....detailed recipes and stunning photography.

WallPaper.....another trendy update for the home and business.

SL and Coastal Living....seen one seen them all.

New Orleans.....keeping up with my city!

Star....just for the fun or it and mindless reading, and they have good cross word puzzles.

National Geographic....because it never fails to amaze me.

NOW HERE'S A QUESTION (?)
DOES ANYONE HIDE MAGAZINES SO YOUR SPOUSE DOESN"T GET ALL BENT OUT OF SHAPE WHEN YOU BUY NEW ONES??????
