I said they were likely bombing in Eglin, but they may be bombing the fish in the Bay. That certainly would explain the high fish kill numbers.

I was stationed at Eglin for 8 years. I remember those nights, and days. I thought it was cool. l actually kinda miss it. Having conversations interrupted because of flyovers. Smell of Jet fuel. Hmmmm, those were the days....

My brother and his family lived in Valparaiso, very close to the end of Eglin's main runway, for over ten years. The thing is, you don't hear the practice bombing on base, because it is normally on the reservation or over the gulf. However, you do hear everything taking off and landing - OVER YOUR HOUSE.

A drone crashed upon takeoff a couple of years back. It hit about three houses down from where they used to live.
