one advantage of a blog is the owner has the ability to control what content is acceptable(to them) to follow the initial entry, whereas on a BB it is up to the moderator.

the (typical) blog is able to be made a lot more personal than what's available as a BB member.

A blog is centered on one person, not a society, and tend to be more linear.

As above, a blog may be focused more on a single topic.

The word blog is a slang word that originated from the terms "web log" or "web logging".

I have a blog to keep family members who aren't local up to date on the Wiz.

To me the forum is like posting a note at the local grocery store bulletin board, everyone is going to read it. The store owner controls content.

The blog, is your personal diary and you control what goes in it and who gets the key.
