Since 1975 I'm totally into REAL Louis Vuitton. Favorites are Daumier and Epi. Big ones! They last forever and never go out of style.

Yeah, I have LV too but, kathy bags are cool and fun!

I own two Kathy bags. I have the Metro fall bag in Brown. Everyone stops me to look at the bag. It's the biggest hit in NY and her prices are really low. A lot of styles and they cost from $50 to $150. You girls should check them out! Do not buy them on QVS they are last season. Macy's has them.

If you gals love handbags, what you need to do is go to Paris when the winter sales are on. By government decree, there are only two sales per year in France--winter and summer, and each lasts about six weeks. Everything, and I mean everything, goes on a huge markdown! The airfares in January are cheap, the city is not crowded, the weather's not too too bad, and the handbags...

You would not believe the bargains you can get on handbags that you ordinarily would never be able to buy, not at full price! I came home with four gorgeous bags--three knock arounds for fun, and one splurge. Talk about a happy camper, mais oui. :clap_1:

$50.00 to $100.00 for a purse? Are you kidding me? I have never spent over $20.00 for one. However, I guess if you can afford them go for it! I would rather carry a $15.00 purse and spend a lot of money while I am in SoWal for that one glorious week a year!!!!

A friend went to a garage sale in the Park Cities (nice neighborhood in Dallas) and saw a set of Louis Vuitton luggage for sale...CHEAP!!!! She asked the lady if the price was for the entire set...it was! The lady says..."I won that at a charity event and I can't understand why anyone would want luggage with LAS VEGAS on it! Needless to say, that friend bought it without a HAGGLE!!

I'm not a blinger myself, so that is a funny story about LV and Las Vegas. My good friend's dog has an LV collar and carrying bag (pug), which is a bit over the top for me! I do like nice bags - but just very plain and good quality leather or suede. No labels, initials, or advertising in any way! And that especially goes for jeans- I don't want anyone getting up close to my *ss to read what label I'm wearing!

In Atlanta they call LV "The MARTA Bag." I won't explain why - not politically correct. That's why I get the Daumier instead of the monogram. I've never seen a fake Daumier.

Thank goodness, Beach Runner. I can't see the point of carrying/wearing/buying anything that can be so easily knocked off. You can buy a million fake Pradas and Kate Spades and LVs on the streets, but who on earth would want to? Tacky!

:clap_1: Good for you Dabell! I have two Kathy bags, a wallet, and a diaper bag. They have so many nice features, and the diaper bag has some class (I'm not the Winnie-the-Pooh type). I feel a bag fix coming on! ;-)

For example, if I wear a pair of Manolo's, I can get by with wearing them with, say, linen pants from Old Navy, and everyone will tell me how great I look. Or I'll buy, say, a Marc Jacobs jacket at Neiman Marcus and put it with an inexpensive pair of pants and T-shirt from The Gap, and my friends think the entire outfit is Marc Jacobs. Another example is jewelry - as long as I have on anything expensive (clothes, shoes, bag, jewelry), I can get by with cubic zirc stud earrings instead of real ones. People assume it's all real.

This is my philosophy also although one pari of BR'rs shoes could probably buy me a new fall wardrobe. ) My tastes are more expensive than my budget so I do what I can! As long as I have a few nice and sometimes trendy items during a season I'm good to go. I love my Levis and tees. I normally don't spend too much on my purses but last Christmas my Mom bought me a Brighton purse. It was smaller than I liked so I returned it and got a bigger one....$100 difference! I get so many compliments on it though. It's a really pretty red and I love the style.
