I'm sitting here watching the weather channel, preparing for my "Post-poned due to food poisoning":puke:
Miami trip tomorrow morning....

(yes, I am spending Thanksgiving at home alone and not eating solid food.:cry:waaahhhh-I'm actually enjoying the peace-quiet-solitude;-))

and I see that they are having a big azz snow storm in TEXAS- Headed right for Dallas! Look out Miss Kitty!:yikes:

So I guess I'll get some posting done as I lie here on the couch,watching football, eating saltines, drinking warm 7-up, in between trips to the bathroom. I think its my body's way of throwing on the brakes, telling me to slowwww down.

After watching CATS last night at Marina Civic Center, I'm surprised I don't cough up a furball. I don't remember them screaching out "Memory- all alone in the moonlight"
that way before...

Drink bitters it's good on the tummy and has more alcohol than moonshine by volume (little alcoholic trivia for ya) later and get bitters I mean better.

Snow?! In Texas?! :blink:

It got cooler here at the beach really fast late this afternoon. It is also very windy and we did get some rain last night. There were people at the pool this morning getting sun it was so warm.....now it is in the upper 40's. BRRRRRR. Y'all stay warm.

Are you sure you were at the Marina Civic center and not taking in one of the "shows" at the Fiesta? Looks like a Fiesta "entertainer" to me, but it could just be the very similar makeup.

You are kidding! Sister and family are flying back to DFW this AM. Hope their travel plans go smoothly. The past two days have been enough pain for them, just seeing Mom as pathetic as she is.

What a bittersweet Thanksgiving! All of Mom's children and spouses got along nicely, and the grandkids seemed to enjoy being together with the extended family (and they loved my cooking). I think we all realized that this would be the last time time we would all be together as a family with Mom alive, so we did our best to make some good memories.

Mom was so out of it that she wasn't upset when she left her house to go back to te nursing home. She doesn't get that she will never go home again, but then she doesn't seem to care. She has pretty much lost her will to live. Alzheimer's is a very sad disease.

BR, you know Alzheimer's is much harder on the family than it is for the patient. I bet your mom is more content than you realize.

:eek: They are showing a chance of rain and sleet for this morning in all of North Mississippi and moving northeast into Southwest Tennessee which is where we are and a portion of Arkansas. There already is some frozen precip showing over in the western part of Arkansas. And we are heading to North Mississippi later this morning.
