Love some pumpkin pie.

Fruit Cake does get a pretty bad rep from that gooey, candied fruit, last longer than a twinkie crap you can buy and probably receive just to pass off stuff from the store. I personally haven't made my mother's recipe in some years, but I remember growing up that relatives who were accdientally forgotten were quite upset. I need to dust that one off.

pumpkin pie is great if you mix in some fat like cream cheese and cool whip.

yes that's Clark Griswold aka Chevy Chase. I tried finding one of Ellen no such luck, but she's in the tar also.

OMG!!! I hate English peas too! I'm always the one who lists them as my least favorite food on those "getting to know you" threads. (I hate slimy okra too, even tho I am a Southern girl.)

Pumpkin pie is great, especially when used as an ingredient in Pumpkin pie milkshakes.

Pecan is good to me when it's not too sweet and gloppy. Wonder if the crust is flaky in this pix. It sure is pretty.

It is fabulous, but making it can drive you to drink. We had to make it one time in Culinary Arts school and learned very quickly that you shouldn't use a convection oven (or at least turn off the fan).

If you soak that fruitcake in bourbon;-) for a week or so, it begins to be right tasty

Entenmann's fruitcake is pretty good too. You could buy it and soak it. How easy would that be? ;-) One of my grandpa's 'd fruitcake.
