Apalach on CNN

I think that I wish I was there.

I could use me some quiet beach time and some oysters about now.

Seeing as they were staying at the Gibson Inn I wish there had been a comment on the restaurant. I've been thinking about making a trip over there to try it. But the article makes it all sound very nice.

I'm going next month (our annual shelling/Appalach trip) so I will report back after that. In the CNN report it talks about St. George Island, that is where I got all those shells last year for my fireplace. You can look in old threads and find all of my report from last year.

We really enjoy the area, especially the downtown little shops. Boss Oyster is grayt too. Will have to check out some of the other restaurants.

We stay in Indian Pass (right before you get to Appalach) in this huge beachfront house....sleeps like 20! There is a good oyster bar there called Indian Pass Oyster bar.

I love Apalach and St. George Island!! I grew up in Tally so we vacationed almost every summer on SGI. It reminds me of old Seagrove minus the condos. Glad to see they are getting the attention, but even back then they didn't really need it. Good luck getting a rental there.
