One of the music stores by us is launching a Christmas charitable fund drive of sorts, collecting all the instruments people used to play that are now dusty and forgotten in the attic. The recipients are local schools.
So which instrument is yours? I used to play clarinet and then my sister 'inherited' it before it was finally and unregretfully given away. Philippa has a piano and the men in the family are tone-deaf (or so it seems ;-)).

I can blow in an empty beer bottle and make a really cool sound. I don't know if you could call it musical, but it is music to my ears. 😀

Now you just need someone on the cowbell and you can run everyone onto the porch at Red Bar.

Piano for a short time. I was sooo bad that my piano teacher begged my parents to let me quit. Then I picked up the French Horn in the school band. I chose the french horn because there would be less competition!! And I was right, the only one in the county from 5th grade to 9th.

As a musician or just when you were playing it. Sorry, I don't know you I'm just basing that on the piano comment. 😀

NOT A DARN THING....
Me neither, dear. :(
I took piano when I was young, but was more interested in baseball with the neighborhood kids at the time. :bang:
This is on my list of things to do before I die though....learn to play piano.
My kind of gulls!!! 😀I might have tried to play the spoons, but that is about it.
I play handbells at church now, but it is a real effort.

Not really. Cool RO. I love drums to this day. Every time we go in the Guitar Center I want to go in that drum room and sit down behind a set of drums. That is what is cool about that place. You can sit and play anything in there. 😀

I took piano for about 5 years, til about age of 13. Really enjoyed it. hated recitals which is why I gave it up. I've forgotten almost all of it.

Sheila E drums
Thank you for posting that RO! I love Sheila E.! I regret not seeing her perform with Prince back in the day. I am really enjoying her on the Next Great American Band. She is the best judge of the three, much better than Randy, Paula and Simon on AI. She always gives constructive criticism with a compliment. Either this Friday or next Friday, she plays the drums on the show. These are the last 2 shows. If you haven't watched it, you should see it. The three top bands will be Sixwire ( an Eagles kind of sound) the Clark Brothers ( The best fiddle and dobro playing I have ever heard - Carrie Underwood's former fiddle player is Ashley Clark) and Denver and the Mile High Orchestra - a 12 piece big band with horns. The fourth band will probably go home Friday - a heavy metal teen band.
I believe it was Sheila's birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday Girl!
