We got 4" of snow in the NW suburbs (not a big deal, really), Chicago got 7 - 9" (which IS a big deal in the city).

Stay safe, stay warm & drag out those sleds!!

 It's 47 this morning! Guess we need to turn the heat back on.

But I would love to see snow for a few hours. It has been too warm around here to feel very Christmassy.

Still snowing here in Southeastern Michigan. Absolutely lovely. The kids are still sleeping but the soccer tournament has been cancelled and the sleds are waiting for them on the porch (we live near a park with a little hill, still called Magic Mountain and the kids, now teens, still love that little hill). Ideally, it's wet snow (haven't gotten up the courage to test it out yet) so they can build snowmen. The only downside from the kids' perspective is that it's not a school day so that they can get the day off.

As for me, I'm in the recliner by the fire reading and watching the snow fall right outside the windows of this old house. I'm in heaven as long as I don't have to go outside today! Maybe I'll do some shoveling. We'll see...

WE got about 4 inches of the white stuff yesterday but then it started raining on top of it. Now we have serious wind and more snow on the way for today. Not the best for playing outside.

It's 32 out now so it may as well snow. It would be pretty, that's for sure. The sky is all grayish white with hardly any sun, like it might be full of somethin'? :idontno: Wonder if it's 42 in sowal now? Seems like it's usually around 10 degrees warmer than mid-Tn.

47F degrees in the shade right now. Sun shining, blue sky with a few white fluffy clouds, moderate wind. Chilly, but a good day ahead.

The little bit of snow that we got yesterday has been melted by the rain. The forecasters are predicting 2-3 inches of snow through tomorrow but who knows. The freezing rain/snow that they were predicting overnight was a non event. It is very windy though & doesn't look like a pleasant day to be outside. A good day to stay inside & watch football!

Six inches of the white stuff here in St. Louis. Gorgeous, sunny day today, so it looks beautiful. I enjoy one day of it, then I'm done.

Got about 4 inches Thursday, but was supposed to get a Nor'easter last night, but got an ice storm instead and a wind advisory till 11 pm tonight.
It's cold as hail with the wind. but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. Hope it melts some of this ice.

Hi Everyone,

I got up this morning to 12" of snow. Here's a photo after I cleaned off the driveway & car. Still snowing & I am going out to bring back a few warm bagels for my sweetie.

I love new fallen snow, but I am dreaming of sunny SoWal:wub:

Bad idea. Our subdivision was plowed out but the main roads are still not plowed @ 2:00 P.M. If you stay in the ruts the going was ok till I got to the first intersection. A big SUV almost slid into my car when he went around the corner.:bang: I was finally able to get through the intersection before the traffic light changed. The snow in the road is rubbing the undercarrage of the car so I turned around and I am back home. You need a big SUV in this kind of weather.

Tom
BTW: Paula in Ann Arbor is smart by staying home.

We had a few flurries last night, which in Memphis causes a major panic. I can guarantee all the bread and milk is gone from the stores. :floor:

Today, sunny, very cold, in the 30's, wonderful Christmas shopping weather. I can take the cold as long as the sun is shining.

Hey All,

I am at my computer waiting for the next snow fall to quite before going outside to shovel. I am thinking I should be sitting @ Blue Mtn. Beach enjoying the sunshine.

A few photo's with my telephoto lens looking West from BMB.
