Biff, glad you are back in civilization. It is an experience one must go thru, to have any idea how dependent we are on electricity. We lost our power for 3 weeks during the Memphis ice storm and I never, want to do that again.

Sorry Minnie, on both accounts, of course if he feels the same way about coconut he may be eating "chicken".

holy CraPola~ Thank you for all the emails and text's everyone; We are alive and well here in OK! This winter crap is for the birds; just another reason to re-locate to SoWal....

One week without power is enough to make a good man go bonkerz.... For topperz the gas company had come out on Friday and turned off our gas due to so many leaks...

I am now going to go down in history here in Tulsa as the official " Hobo Grill KING".....

We were visiting w/our neighbors on Sunday and we could NOT imagine what those poor people that survived Katrina went through and are STILL going through

At least we have/had water.....

All in all the unofficial death toll on highways here is 11; death toll from alternate heat sources/ carbon monoxide / house fires is 26.... We are still finding elderly and otherwise unfortunates deceased in their homes due to the weather/other.....

Hey Biffy Lube. Been thinking about ya, but you know I don't do the texting bit. I'm glad you're out of the cold now. We've lost power in the past for a day or 2 my over the years and it's no funn at all. Couldn't imagine a whole week. You're a trooper. So sad about the elderly.

My poor Biffy!!!! I am so glad you are warm again. My thoughts and prayers are with those people and their families who lost their lives during this terrible ice storm at the holiday season.

I just text messaged with Biff...he has been without power and cell for a week!!! He & Mrs Biff have been cooking on a hobo grill all this time and cooking what was in the freezer! Power came on last night and he said he sure was glad to have a cup of coffee without having to light the grill....:funn:
On a sad note...he says several people died in explosions in their homes due to having a gas grill inside to keep warm....:shock:
He says it has been CRAZY!
He sent me some pics ...but I don't know how to post them from my phone Maybe he will post them on here later.

I'm so saddened about those that have lost loved ones. Just reminds me to be thankful for everything I have when I hear stuff like this. So glad you guys are OK!

I wasn't worried about Biff Freezin to death, not with all THAT hot air....

I was concerned though about those hundreds of thousands of people without power. People not able to leave there homes, freezing to death. Shelters with generators not being filled if people can't get to them. It is indeed like a frozen version of Katrina, on a smaller scale, but just as serious.

As for Canabalism, in Biffs case, more like Can-of Bull-isms. Biff is a trooper, survivor, and knowing him, his biggest concern was for the welfare of his neighboring citizens.

I'm just pithed that the news has dropped the story already. People still need help.

I don't understand cooking food from the freezer that might thaw out though. Hmmmm, no power, OK, like, take it out to your garage or something. That's like an eskimo upset because the IceMaker broke on his fridge. I can't imagine the stuff thawing out. Just leave it open and haul it outside!
