Because I'm a man, when I catch a cold, I need someone to bring me
soup and take care of me while I lie in bed and moan. You're a woman. You
never get as sick as I do, so for you this isn't a problem
Because I'm a man, I do not want to visit your mother, or have your
mother come visit us, or talk to her when she calls, or think about her
any more than I have to. Whatever you got her for Mother's Day is okay; I
don't need to see it. And don't forget to pick up something for my mother
too.
Because I'm a man, and this is, after all, the year 2005, I will
share equally in the housework. You just do the laundry, the cooking, the
cleaning the vacuuming, and the dishes, and I'll do the rest..... like
looking for my socks, or like wandering around in the garden with a beer
wondering what to do.

I'm not that bad. Just last week, I cleaned every tub and toilet in the house. I vacum too, but only if I've been drinking. Its alot more fun that way. You should try it.

A Touching Story of Love and Marriage:
An elderly man lay dying in his bed. In death's agony, he suddenly
smelled the aroma of his favorite chocolate chip cookies wafting up the stairs.
He gathered his remaining strength, and lifted himself from the
bed. Leaning against the wall, he slowly made his way out of the bedroom,
and with even greater effort inched himself down the stairs, gripping
the railing with both hands. With labored breath, he leaned against the
doorframe, gazing into the kitchen. Were it not for death's agony, he would have
thought himself already in heaven.
There, spread out upon newspapers on the kitchen table were literally
hundreds of his favorite chocolate chip cookies. Was it heaven?
Or was it one final act of heroic love from his devoted wife seeing to
it that he left this world a happy man? Mustering one great final
effort, he could already invision them in his mouth; seemingly bringing him
back to life.
The aged and withered hand shakily made its way to a cookie at
the edge of the table, when his wife suddenly smacked it with a
spatula.
"Stay out of those," she said, "they're for the funeral."

The following is a telephone exchangeMy husband sent me this one. He can totally relate because he's in Asia about one week every month. When we had a home invasion (it was awful!), he was in Tokyo. I called the hotel and asked for his room. Asians have trouble with L's and R's and couldn't understand his name. I asked to speak to someone who spoke English. The operator said, "I speak Engwish." I said, "Apparently not because you can't even understand his name, even when I spell it." She put someone else on the phone, and I finally got through to my husband.

BR, what's a home invasion? Is that the new terminology for robbery? If so My Condolences! We had one of them--only my handbags were snatched, but I felt so violated. Not to say angry as well, since one was an Italian bag and the other one a Longchamps I bought in Paris.
