You CAN train a cat

I asked my cat about this. (The Jesus Cat, that is. There's no point asking the Supermodel cat anything during his 23 1/2 hours of sleep. For that matter, there's no point in asking the Supermodel anything when he's awake either; he's as dumb as a stump.)

He says that the video is mislabeled. Clearly the cat has trained the woman to feed him by hand, which is pretty impressive. He was not impressed that the cat allowed this to be videotaped, however. It seemed unprofessional to him--domestic issues concerning cats and their staff don't belong on the internet.

Actually, those are my friends' nicknames for my cats. The Jesus Cat's name is Hoot. His sister, Anny, was raptured a few years ago and Hoot found Jesus shortly thereafter. One of my blogs describes him in great detail. I asked him just yesterday if he prayed over the mice that he sends to meet Jesus--he didn't think that was funny.

The Supermodel's name is Smudge. He's the most sweet-tempered, beautiful, empty-headed animal I've ever seen in my life. Solid black, long, glossy fur, and a long, full, thick tail that he waves around like he's the Queen of England. (I think he's an Angora; I found him under my house. ) He poses continually when he's awake, and expects to be adored at all times.

Let's really test the theory and see if Kitty can do the embedy thingy too.

Such talent! All my no talent cats ever did was shed and meow; occassionally they coughed up a fur ball for me.

My daddy taught his kitten to fetch a ball, then we highfived each other over the accomplishment.

Here's the Supermodel. He's terribly difficult to photograph because 1) he's usually unconscious, and 2) he's ridiculously black.
