Saw it and hated it for the guy...then had to go to our son's game. Made us cringe for the AL player and from fear of injury to the little ones!

I know that Shula isn't the sharpest tool in the shed...but when you're up 28...don't you put the second string guys in? Does he remember last year? :roll:

AL's Prothro break his leg during the AL/FL game today? I am still in pain for the guy.

My husband and I saw it and both said, "Ewwwwww!" His leg moved as though he were a rag doll; it bended in all sorts of directions. I started crying for the poor child. It looked so painful, and he had played such a great game. Did you see the replay of the catch he made in a previous game with his arms around an opponent's neck? I'd never seen that - awesome.

BTW I'm a Gator fan, even after yesterday's supreme embarrassment.

You have really got to ease up a little bit. It's very shocking how aggressive you get. It's all in good fun and you just turn it into something so ridiculous. He has compound fractures in the left tibia and fibula. He is out for the season. I hope that we have another receiver and special teams person waiting in the wings. I think that we can overcome!!!!

That's exactly what I told my husband when I saw it happen and the sportscasters were saying broken ankle. Definitely broken tibia and fibula when you see the films. The Pokey-and-Gumby-like bending of his leg was definitely above the ankle. I feel so sorry for him and his family.

That is what I cannot get over...his shin bent like your leg would bend at the knee but at a different angle. I have to think about soft kitties playing with yarn in a padded room to clear it from my mind.

You really hate to see that happen to any player. He would've had an amazing year. I think he did! That catch at the So. Miss game...I still can't get over it. How did he hang on to that ball? Impressive by any standards.

It was absolutely horrible to see - and from 3 different angles. He showed a lot of class on his way out of the stadium.

We have had several people in our neighborhood tell us they heard us yesterday during the game. We had a tv on the porch and all four of us were screaming - 3 Bama fans and ME - an Auburn fan - but I was pulling for the Tide yesterday!!! Kinda hard not to pull for the Tide when your husband and daughter both went to school there!!!

I spoke with a buddy this morning who is a trainer for UA. Ty's surgery was successful and he had no nerve damage. Doubtful he will be able to participate in spring practice, but he should be fine in time for fall camp in August.
