Go north on 83, it is about a 1/2 mile on the left behind the open field.

This is a discussion with government officials about the amendment.

Confused by Property Tax Reform?

Walton County Taxpayers Association are putting on a forum about the amendment on January 24th at 7 pm.

South Walton High School Cafeteria.

There will be a presentation followed by questions to public officials in attendance. So far I have been told that Larry Jones, Patrick Pilcher, Marti Coley, Don Brown, and Don Gaetz will be in attendance as well as Lee Sullivan from Bay County to speak to their 1.35% initiative.

State officials may not appear as committee meetings will be in Tallahassee that week.

Don't forget Thursday night at 7PM, SWHS, the forum on Amendment 1. Many officials will be present to answer questions. With all the discussion about this issue I am hoping turnout will be greater than the 165 that showed up in DeFuniak Springs.

The Walton County YRs will be meeting at the Best Western in DeFuniak Springs, Thursday Jan 31st at 6:15 PM. I think Brad Drake, candidate for Dist 5 representative will be the speaker. The YRs are led by Josh Sconiers, so those that wish to meet him will have the opportunity if in the DeFuniak Springs area.
