I have Lonesome Dove on VHS, DVD, paperback and hardcover...

Dead Man's Walk and Streets of Laredo weren't the same, but worth watching because they were about the same characters. (I liked David Arquette as a young Gus and Jennifer Garner as a young Clara!) I'm sure I'll enjoy Commanche Moon for the same reason.

OL--I did join Netflx. Haven't gotten the first one yet, but looking forward to it. My first choice was The Best of Carson. Then, some other chic flicks. Once mr. dd gets hold of the password...it'll be war/sports/blood & guts.

I did too last Saturday and I am impressed. I ordered 3:10 to Yuma which wasn't due to be released until Tuesday and it was in my mailbox on Tuesday!

The Bourne Ultimatum was excellent as are all the Bourne movies.

For a good fun movie put Stardust in your queue! I thought it was a chick flick but after seeing it, Mr OL would have liked it too. He didn't get the chance tho, I mailed it back before he had a chance.

Get Stardust! FFF watched it one night when he had to ride down to the beach instead of fly....that man is OCD/ADHD he has to be doing something. Well I was driving and kept trying to watch it too. When I got to finally watch it ....I LOVED it! I loved Robert DeNiro in the movie. I was very surprised.

Speaking of Netflix, we HAD to join about a year ago. They've closed almost all the Blockbuster stores (our only rental chain) in our area.

Only in the past 6 months many of these "Red Box" kiosks have started opening up outside our grocery stores. You can view online what's available at the different locations, reserve & pay for it, then pick it up at your convenience. Movies are only $1 for a 24 hr. period. It's very convenient to have a self serve dvd rental but they do not have many independent or obscure movies - only new releases or old favorites.

We still rely on our online service but the Red Box is pretty good for a last minute fix.

nope - we watched the new halloween instead. mr audie is dvr'ing comanche moon so he can skip the blasted commercials

Capt. Woodrow Call...and soon to be "Bones" in the new Star Trek. I'm starting to agree with Audie..I didn't know him before either.

I also think it was great casting ...Gus and Call are so much like Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall it's scary. Karl Urban said he based his character not on Robert Duvall but Larry McMurtry's character. I'm enjoying it so far....it's on again tonight.

But now I'm stuck watching "Lonesome Dove." There will be no end to this...

My friend gives me monthly list of movies I have to see, and Lonesome Dove/Commanche Moon is on it this month. So I'm working my way there. I've got a few other westerns to watch first, but I'm really excited.
