Barry Manilow POSTPONED!!!!!!!

I JUST got this email fom TICKETMASTER:

"Hello, this is Ticketmaster Customer Service with an important alert for your upcoming event. BARRY MANILOW scheduled at PHILIPS ARENA on SATURDAY, JANUARY 19, 2008, at 8:00 PM, has been postponed.
The new date is to be announced. Original tickets will be honored for the new date."

Can you imagine if I had driven to Atlanta today after all in the horrible weather that they are having today between here and there in my most 'delicate condition'! :yikes:

Boy, talk about fate. Earlier yesterday morning I had canceled my hotel reservations and Hotels.com is going to refund my money. (I had a special rate, so it was pre-paid non refundable- I told them I was on my death bed and would need the money to pay for the cremation.-

JUST KIDDING.

Wow. I really needed to stay home this weekend and recuperate and everything worked out just fine. Gee, talk about HERE'S YOUR SIGN! There really is a Santa Claus. :wub:

So I'm sitting here at the house rearranging/cleaning out my filing cabinet and listening to 80's disco.
Gotta KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK ON WOOD, BABY!!!!! :clap:

OK, I know a lot of us have friends in high places... did someone call Barry and tell him to postpone the concert cuz I can't make it? You guys are too much, I swear! :cool:

Of course...true friends as I said in another thread...love to pitch in when they can! Prayers, Smiles, and of course the helping pitch in while your down and do the 12oz curls for you! All for you baby! ;-)

I guess if I had read the Welcome Home DKA thread earlier, I would have known about this earlier, as Seacrestgirl posted this info at 1:17pm! However I didn't get the email from TicketMaster till just after 7pm!

I guess is wasn't meant to be! :cool:

As soon as they announce a date, we'll make plans and we can all meet in ATL for Barry. I'm sure there are tickets left. I had forgotten that about a week ago, Ticketmaster sent out an email for a special sale on tickets of 20% off. Thats not good.

I hope after all this it is worth it. When I saw him years ago, it was one of the best concerts I'd ever seen.

I too missed the concert!! It was actually a blessing in disguise, as I am completely bogged down at work! (I hate pneumonia season) Still looking for the reschedule date!
