6 bikers...all terrifying...ARG!!!! Not really. We covered the bases on bikes all the way from a Goldwing to a custom Harley.
As was the case last year, we picked one of the coldest days to ride down. It was 23 degrees in ATL Friday morning. Thank goodness for heated clothing and gloves!
We ambled across the street from the house on Friday night and hung out at Goatfeathers. They were great hosts. We added a few square feet of oyster shells to their driveway, had a healthy dose of beer, and had a great dinner. Good reviews from all on all of their dishes.
Saturday...rain...

Our 30A culinary adventure started with lunch at Shades. Good ride there, but the rain came back. Our guy with the custom Harley has no front fender so he got abused by road spray and grit. We decided to scoot home so he could ditch the bike and get a car.
We hit Hurricane Oyster Bar a few hours later for oysters and beer. I asked our waitress who the Hurricane poster on the board was, but she didn't know so sorry I didn't get to meet ya.
Dinner at Stinky's was outstanding. The staff took care of us to a "T" and even make a scallop appetizer for one of our guys despite the fact that it wasn't on the menu. Our guy was wearing a UGA hat and to get the appetizer he had to yell a rousing "Roll Tide" in the restaurant. Oh, the things we do for our food.
From there we hit Red Bar and hung there until last call. A couple of the guys were starting to get pretty numb. Thankfully, they are happy drunks!
After dropping a couple of the guys off at the house, the rest of us hit Blue Orleans. Great great band. The place was packed. It was Blue Orleans that gave us our quote of the week.
A woman who was there overheard one of the guys talking about country music. She acused him of having "no culture". In his current state (he was truly lit by then) he went on to tell her that he had everything from Luther Vadross to country to metal to classical. Apparently, the Luther reference caught her off guard. She asked back, "Luther?" to which he replied "H3ll yeah. You put on Luther and it's panties off...POOF!"
I picked her jaw up off of the floor. I have it on my dresser if any of you would like to see it!

Sunday came too early. We tanked up on breakfast at Blue Orleans and headed north. All in all a good weekend despite the weather. I forgot my camera, but two of the guys brought theirs. When I get some shots, Ill be sure to post them.
and have to rent a car just to get around.

a good comedy.
