State Sen. Don Gaetz, also a McCain supporter, said he?d learned that more than 50 percent of Florida?s voters interviewed Tuesday said Crist?s endorsements had positively influenced them.
?The governor is two for two tonight. He put his popularity on the line for John McCain and for the yes vote,? Gaetz said.
Crist?s support for McCain could bode well for him if McCain winds up with the Republican nomination, Gaetz said.
?This guarantees that if McCain gets the nomination Charlie Crist is on a short list? of candidates for vice president, Gaetz said.
(I doubt that Charlie will be able to hold up to the scrutiny of the National Press.)

It will be interesting to see, there will definitely be a woman or an African American running for office, will there now be a possible closeted, gay man in the mix?
I would welcome any of the three, and I will overlook that as an issue. The media unfortunately won't.

Funny, I didn't think that SHELLY's post was referring to his personal life, whatever it may be. Job performance is what matters. I don't give a patoot about Charlie's personal life. He's a likable guy who deserves to be judged by the job he is doing, and in my opinion he has a ways to go before he can consider himself a successful governor, much less a VP candidate.
But it's Politricks, so who knows? I would hate to see Charlie swift boated, but you know that will happen if the Clintons, oops I mean Hillary, get the nomination and McCain picks Crist as his running mate.

I hear you... I am a Democrat and a strong Crist supporter, in fact, I can't even remember now the Dem. who ran against him that I voted for ?).
A national stage can be a dangerous, scary place.
