....Crafty people...??

I have several newspaper clippings from our 1st baby of the year that I would like to display. I'm not very knowledgeable on what kind of glue to use on what kind of surface. I'm thinking just a nice sheet of natural wood and I will embellish with other "little girl" things too and maybe some paint. Has anyone done this? or have any ideas/suggestions to share?
Sorry I haven't posted any pictures of her, I don't know how to reduce the size to post them:idontno:
Thanks so much!

Old Time Pottery has a lot of pretty frames and probably framed memory boxes too. Spraytack may work well for the newspaper clipping. Sometimes I buy ugly pix just for the mat and frame then replace the pix with my own. Sometimes they are glued on though so you have to be careful removing the old pix from the mat. ;-)

I used to be a framer, be glad to help. First off newspaper can't really be mounted either with glue or dry mounted. Your best bet for newspaper clippings is to Xerox and then mount. You can also contact the Walton Sun and they will send you copies of everything on a lamenated sheet. If your framing it for the long haul (over 20 years) go somewhere other than Michael's to have it framed and use an archival quality matte board and backing.

Thanks for the tips SCK & SWGB. Actually I have the copies you speak of...I don't intend to use the actual newspaper clips. I just want to do something really fun with them for her room. I wish I had been born with the CRAFTY gene:roll: HELP!
