Where is everybody?
Fall Break for Alabama and Georgia.
Also, I have a theory that most people log on to SoWal.com when they are at work, based on the low participation on the weekends.

Yes, it is quite quiet ;-)
Beach Fanatic
Quiet sounds wonderful! I am headed down early next week and can't wait for some good beach time without crowds. We are at the height of harvest in our area, so lots of visitors and traffic. We dodge speeding rogue grape trucks for about six weeks and wake up to the roar of wind machines (because of early frost) all around us. The wind machines sound like a 747 landing behind one's house. It is beautiful here this time of year, but I always look forward to escape time during my favorite month at Grayton.
Are you still having the red tide situation? Can we safely eat shellfish? Will I need a reservation at Borago for a party of six? This inquiring mind needs to know!

Donna,
Have a great time this upcoming week. It is a long trip for you and I'm sure you will make it well worth it. Please let us know how the weather, red tide, and your stay is in paradise.

I think the quiet part is in regards to the message board. Grayton had too many people on it yesterday. I went for a little peace and quiet, but did not stay because of the crowd.
So you are making the Grape Escape?

I think SJ and destindreamin are both correct. When we are at work we are usually working on a computer and can toggle back and forth between the boards and work. On the weekends we are usually running around and not near a puter. JMHO

I'm busy in ATL on weekends (if not at SoWal), shopping and dining.
Went to the AJC's "Top Restaurant of the Year," Pura Vida. It's not the best restaurant in ATL (that's Bacchanalia, IMHO), but in terms of trends (tapas/Latin) combined with quality combined with price, I agree. Food was creative with the most discriminating and unusual ingredients, artistically presented. Great drinks - loved the quality of the mojito with the freshest of mint. Very interesting wine list, including cava.
Also, you know we all don't get lathered up on the board unless there's a hurricane or something happens that might affect property values or rentals. LOL.
AND IT IS FOOTBALL SEASON! I MEAN, WE HAVE OUR PRIORITIES!!!!!

BR- I am not trying to rub it in I promise.
Gives me chill bumps how loud that was.

BR- I am not trying to rub it in I promise.I understand. I've felt the same way in Ben Hill Griffin. That stadium has never been louder. I just thought it was cool from a sports in general point of view.

Well, this is the first season I haven't wanted to cry after almost every game since 1999.It's taken a few years, but I am actually no longer embarrassed to go to work on Mondays after the Gators have disappointed me. There was a time when I went to work every Monday and glowed in the orange aura of victory (SWEEEEET!), but those days appear to be gone.

JMHOThat's pretty much my tune, though I do have a few minutes here and there on weekends to check in sometimes (but not much of either lately
