jdarg is getting a new jDOG!!!

It wasn't supposed to happen. I wasn't supposed to fall in love with a dog so soon...this family of mine plotted and schemed and wore me down...I am weak... :bang:

but I am pleased to announce that we have a new dog. Well, we don't get him until next week after we get back from Orlando. I didn't want to bring him home, then leave him. "MacGregor" (Mac) is exactly what I had in mind if we were to get another dog- quiet w/ little Kate, fun for big Will to play with, potty trained, healthy, low shedding, likes cats and other dogs, and goofy looking. Just a dog's kinda dog. :clap_1:

I guess I will be heading out tomorrow to get a new Mac- sized crate. And dog food. And a sporty new leash and collar.

I finally get to post a dog pic!!!

He is so precious. Not a mistake. Dogs give unconditional love like no person can. My husband said that our 2 Bichons are the only ones wagging their tails at the back door to greet him when he comes home. Enjoy and have fun.

yeah, he does! The worker at the adoption agency said he looked like Tramp from "My Three Sons". Thank God he doesn't look like Uncle Charlie!!

Here's the background. Merman and I are visiting Mom and having a beer at her place and her two adorable dogs Guinness and Bailey are in the living room with us. Bailey, the little one, is sitting happily on my lap. Guinness is trying to get my better half to play froggie with him, but the man is resisting! Merman has not yet been won over to loving dogs, but we're working on it. I'm thinking that when our daughter flies the coop and heads off to college and we are childless after nearly two decades of child-rearing, a sweet adorable puppy might make a mighty fine substitute! I am a patient woman. I will wait. :wub:

In the meantime, I envy all of you with doggies!

Oh Ocean Lover-they are perfect- every one!

It's hard to top a Golden puppy. On my first date with my husband, his Golden, Amie, started having her pups- well, the rest is history. Moral of the story to the single guys- puppies do it evey time :wub:

ocean lover, that is the sweetest bunch of dogs I have ever seen!!!! I had a terrible thing happen just a little while ago, our baby chihuahua leaped off the bed and landed wrong.....I think he may have broken his leg, I just feel terrible....he is at the vet right now...I'm just sick over it , and today is my anniversary!! I was crying like a baby now I'm just waiting for the vet to call with good news............................

Oh how awful! Keep us posted! Luckily he has a good owner to nurse him back to health if anything is wrong.

Seagrovelover, when I was at the emergency vet I met a chihuahua pup owner with the same exact predicament. She had tripped over the poor little thing, but it looked like after a few weeks in a cast, all would be well.

How's your baby? Our baby girl (schnauzer) took a tumble off our 2nd story deck here in FL last October. She spent 8 weeks in a hot pink cast after surgery to place pins in her leg. Just came back in for a trot around the neighborhood. Can't tell this girl ever had a thing wrong with her!

I hope your baby is going to be fine. Please let us know!

I hope your little guy is okay. My Mom's little Maltese did the same thing when he was a pup!

Hallelujah!!!! Another life of dog love begins...congrats!!!

These are some precious pics! GO is supposed to help me post some of Molly...we will work on that after our guests leave...right GO? BTW...Molly went to the beach for the first time for sunset last night! SHE LOVES IT! Had sand all over her nose and barked a little at the water coming on shore! Can't wait to go back!!!

Well our little guy did break his leg, he is so sad looking, leg wrapped up and funnel on his head. He isn't supposed to move around alot so we put him in a baby playpen to keep him quiet and safe. On thursday he goes back to the vet to get the cast put on and possibly a pin put in as well. I would post a picture but it would surely make you cry!!

I do have to add that since we had such a bad day and it was our anniversary our wonderful neighbors made a full dinner for me and the family!!! it was so nice. :wub:

This is our little poodle. She's pretty much a dream dog for me and my daughter. She was trained not to bark, is allergy free and she loves to cuddle. As for my husband and son....they would prefer a real dog.
