I ran out of conditioner before I ran out of shampoo, and it really bothers me because it will take a long time to restore the ratio so that the bottles have the same amount of product in them.
I am equally disturbed by chip-to-dip ratios. Is there a formula for getting the right amount of dip for a set number of chips? If you get too much dip, then you have to go back for more chips. If you have too many chips, you don't want to eat the remainder with no dip after having yummy dip on the previous chips.
It's a wonder that I sleep at all...

I swear I'm becoming OCD.

NoHall, I have OCD, too. It drives me crazy when my shampoo runs out before my conditioner. So I try to fill in with hotel freebies of shampoo until the conditioner catches up.
However, chip and dip equanimity is not on my long list of concerns.

My issue concerns those boxes of chocolates with the "map" on the lid.
I can't stand it when someone offers me a chocolate from one of those but they've already eaten a few, and by the time you are offered a piece, all the contents has "shifted."
You're not sure what you're going to end up with since everyone before you have taken the "recognizable" chocolates--like the nuts, or nut cups, or the chocolate chunk stamped with the little delivery man.
You're too polite to remove the top "shifted" layer so you can get to the pristine bottom layer whose layout jibes with the map in the lid. So you just pick out some dark chocolate covered, rectangular "mystery chunk" and hope for the best.
When you bite into it you discover that it is the one with the pink fluffy-sticky filling that tastes like soap--but you have to manage to smile and thank the giver, while thinking of a way to dispose of the remnants without the giver's knowledge.

I have the opposite problem - I use like 3x the amount of shampoo as conditioner!

My deep personal issues is eyeshadow! The ones that come with 3 colors....the base color is empty and the "highlight" colors are full
Wish they would make those base color compartments bigger!!!

Why not just get the shampoo and conditioner in one? Solves all of the shortage problems.
How about the hot dogs that come 10 in a pack and the buns that only have 8 in a pack?

That always intrigued me too...Maybe it is because 1 in 5 people are on the South Beach diet?

Don't know about this conditioner/shampoo stuff, but when it comes to chips and dips and stuff like that, you are talking to the expert.
You gotta learn a couple of things:
1.Reserves. always, and I mean ALWAYS, keep a bag of chips and thingie of dip in reserve. Never never never open the last one. Go to the store and get more.
2. Pace. You gotta keep one eye on the chips and the other on the dip. May have to eat a few w/o dip, but they really do need to end up empty at the same time. Schanuzerman may get a few chips, but make sure that you pace yourself.
3. Always refuse other people's opened chocolate. Some people (and you know who you are) punch a hole in the bottom to see what is in there, don't like what they see, and put it back. You pick it up and are stuck with it. Not good. Too, some have been know to actually put it in their mouth and try to figure out what is in it. Not good.
4. Never share your chocolate with any one, not even your SO. Let her/him get their own stash. That way you get what you want when you want it. Selfish? Yes, but we're talking chocolate here.
This is highly important stuff, so pay attention.
Ready?
NEVER, and I mean NEVER, keep the good whisky where your "friends" can get to it. They drink it all up and you ain't got none the next night. They don't replace it and you're stuck with an empty bottle.
Nothing sadder than an empty whisky bottle.

I made a chocolate candy core sampler out of a drill press and a hollow tube. It's a little cumbersome, but at least I know what I'm getting every time!
