I do, relatively speaking:

A rocket explorer named Wright
Once traveled much faster than light.
He set out one day
In a relative way,
And returned on the previous night.

There once was a man from Sowal
He wanted to see it all
He traveled near
And he traveled far
And then decided on the Red Bar

The first child of a Mrs. Keats-Shelly
came to light with its face in its belly.
The second was born
with a hump and a horn
And the third was as shapeless as jelly.

Here comes the cold
Break out the winter clothes
And find a love to call your own
You - enter you
Your cheeks a shade of pink
And the rest of you in powder blue

Who knows what will be
But I'll make you this guarantee

No way November will see our goodbye
When it comes to December it's obvious why
No one wants to be alone at Christmas time

In the dark, on the phone
You tell me the names of your brothers
And your favorite colors
I'm learning you
And when it snows again
We'll take a walk outside
And search the sky
Like children do

No way November will see our goodbye
When it comes to December it's obvious why
No one wants to be alone at Christmas time
And come January we're frozen inside
Making new resolutions a hundred times
February, won't you be my valentine?

And we'll both be safe 'til St. Patrrick's Day

We should take a ride tonight around the town
and look around at all the beautiful houses
something in the way that blue lights on a black night
can make you feel more
everybody, it seems to me, just wants to be
just like you and me

No one wants to be alone at Christmas time
Come January we're frozen inside
Making new resolutions a hundred times
February, won't you be my valentine?

And if our always is all that we gave
And we someday take that away
I'll be alright if it was just 'til St. Patrick's Day

My Irish grandmother knew the best ditties (and she wasn't shy, either ). Here's one:

From deep in the crypt at St Giles
Came a scream which resounded for miles.
Said the Vicar "Good gracious!
Has Father Ignatius,
Forgotten the Bishop has piles!?!?"

Oh come on now, your a mother you know how well that's gonna go over with this group. :floor:

I did google it and found the following on Wikipedia.

There once was a man from Nantucket Who kept all his cash in a bucket. But his daughter, named Nan, Ran away with a man And as for the bucket, Nantucket.
But he followed the pair to Pawtucket, The man and the girl with the bucket; And he said to the man, He was welcome to Nan, But as for the bucket, Pawtucket.
Then the pair followed Pa to Manhasset, Where he still held the cash as an asset, But Nan and the man Stole the money and ran, And as for the bucket, Manhasset.
This is the original, the red was added later on.

When Grandma was in the nursing home, she'd regale her gentlemen callers with scandalous limericks. She never lost her brogue, so they sounded twice as funny. And she always claimed to be ladylike since she never dropped the f-bomb or any other "dirty" words. ;-)

Said Kurt, of his work,
"It's a mission,
bringing SoWal erudition.
But the posters get wacky
and tend to be tacky
And I feel I've been thrown to perdition."

Very clever! I'm so glad I found this site. Ever since Frasier went off the air, I've missed that witty repartee. This is like Frasier at the Beach. Thanks for keeping me entertained.

There once was a gal named Miss Critter,
who spent most of her time on her sitter,
reading posts on SoWal,
entertaining to all
and resulting in many a titter.

Bill Clinton's no man of conviction,
Avoiding truth is a lifelong affliction.
Mixes lies with the facts,
We can never relax,
To him, truth IS stranger than fiction.

Ode to Alcohol
Starkle, starkle, little twink,
Who the hell you are I think,
I'm not under what they call
The alcofluence of incohol.
I'm not drunk as thinkle peep,
I'm just a little slort of sheep.
Tee martoonis make a guy
Fool so feelish, don't know why
Rally don't know who's me yet
The drunker I stay the longer I get
So just one more to full my cup,
I've all day sober to Sunday up.

In the land of SOWAL there mysteriously sprouted signs of blue,
Celebrated mostly for their monstrousity and hue,
Defended and beloved by the wise TDC,
The locals simply considered them scenic heresy,
And dreamt of the prompt arrival of the dismantling crew!

Edward Gorey again...?

To his clubfooted child
said Lord Stipple,
as he poured his post-prandial tipple,
"Your mother's behavior
Gave pain to our Saviour,
and that's why He made you a cripple."
