I have been pondering going to Dr. Varnadore and wondering if anyone sees him. What's your thoughts? I'd love to hear the scoop on him.

Thanks!

We used to go to him when he was at Seaside. I'm not overly impressed with how he ran his office then. I like Dr. Bawa much better.

:wave:I used to see him. He'd write me doctor's excuses when I'd decide to stay an extra day at the beach during college.

Cool.

Is it Dr. Coetzee? He's very integrative also but I don't know of him working with homeopathics.

I know Dr. Coetzee (pronounced koitzeea) and his wife Kathy. They are a WONDERFUL family from South Africa. Dr. Coetzee is board certified in Preventative Medicine and has several other credentials as well. He is brilliant as are his wife and daughters. What he does is very interesting such as studying how chemicals in our food affect us (preservatives, dyes, etc.) and he has solved many health and behavior (ADHD) problems by eliminating these things from childrens' diets. I would say he is homeopathic in that his approach to illness is preventative, but he does full medical workups and uses lab work to diagnose and solve problems. He is definitely grounded in medicine and science.

As I understand it, Dr. Coetzee does not see patients for routine exams or illnesses though. He is a specialist.

We've seen Dr. Coetzee, all of us. He's our family MD. Love him. Actually, he has done basic work-ups for us for the kids.

Regarding homeopathy, I was meaning classic homeopathic & using homeopathic medicines to treat illnesses.

The MAIN reason I was thinking of using Dr. Varnadore was because he does use the idea of a monthly or yearly retainer. But what I also need to find out is if Dr. Coetzee would or does do that because I'd never leave if he does. And regarding the whole family, I'll always take them to Dr. C.

I love their whole family. They are so busy all the time, but they are the type of people that just light up your day.

Dr. Varnadore hears his country's call
Chick Huettel
March 14, 2008

Ed Varnadore thought long and hard about his offer of commitment.
It would mean leaving the comfort of home and his daily practice. Maybe his clients and patients wouldn?t understand, but he felt deep in his core that his medical degree was more than just making the money; it was giving back, a returning of a blessing that kept nagging at him.
With that conviction, he hesitated a moment, then dialed the phone number. He was going to offer his services to his country?s military.
And so Dr. William Edward Varnadore, a well-known practitioner in South Walton, answered questions over the telephone. He had made the plunge.
Ed?s dad, a 20-year Marine had instilled the seed and it finally bloomed when it was needed the most. Our military hospitals and clinics were making desperate appeals for any type of medical assistance and Ed felt his dad?s pride within and did his duty. A son followed his dad?s ideals.
It was a perfect time for him to volunteer. His was moving his practice to the Rosemary Beach area and it would be awhile before the new structure was finished. He called a meeting of his patients at a local restaurant and explained his plan of action and the need to follow his responsibility to his country.
His line of communication would always be open at a temporary set up, while he was tending soldiers, through his office colleague, Margaret Hudson. Once a month he would fly back and then attend to any pressing patient needs, but always he would be available by telephone.
I sat there at this meeting and was astounded.
Varnadore is that new and promising doctor of future personal health care that one is constantly reading about and seeing on television. With this medical concept, already an overwhelming success in Europe, he and other doctors decided to bring the concept to the U.S. I was reluctant to join but finally succumbed when most of my friends followed the innovative idea.
Basically it catches problems before they take place in your body. You are periodically screened for nearly every complication that may be hiding under that delicate skin of yours. Then taking that study of your one-of-a -kind body in even more depth, the process of finding out what your body is lacking or requires for everyday health is accomplished. This new medicine then fills those needs and you find yourself about as balanced as nature had intended you to be when you were formed.
I became a completely changed person, as did all my friends who went to Ed.
At first the cost was prohibitive for many, but as of today even that?s also changed with new innovative ideas. Now nearly all are within reach for this never ending analysis of everyday health and prohibiting illnesses from striking.
As I sat listening I realized I hadn?t even had a bad cold in the five years I had been his patient. Something was evidently working!
Dr. Varnadore closed the meeting and the crowd stood up all cheering and clapping. They just loved the fellow.
Yes. his country called him, but us older folks knew he would be back when we needed him. Patriot, caregiver, humanitarian, along with new and innovative medicine, is his gift to all of us.
We wish him safety, health, and a speedy return.
Call him at (850) 231-3165 first to thank him for our country, and next for your own health. You ?shan?t? be sorry.
Fair winds to ye matey.

checking back in on this thread organicmama. I missed the parent ed meeting last night at school, but reports from several moms were that while they appreciated his knowledge on foods and health, they felt his approach was not helpful or practical for every day life for them. that's all I know!! I was told that I did not miss much.

on the other hand, several of you have said great things of him and I am certain that his approach will appeal to many.

would still like to meet Dr. Coetzee to know more about what he offers.
