Well, I had eye surgery to correct my double vision last Friday. (I put it off for a year. )It has been the LONGEST week of my life!!!:bang: Much worse than any other surgery I have had. I am a whimp when it comes to my eyes. It is so good to be able to sit and type at the computer....even better to be able to go to work on Monday! To celebrate my good results from my post-op visit, I had a good glass of wine.

It was the first time my eyes were not uncomfortable. Had I known how much relief it gave, I would have opened a bottle sooner.

Congrats IWishIWasThere! It must be scary to get eye surgery to correct vision. I'm thinking of doing that as well because I have double vision and am nearsited and may want a life without needing contact lenses/glasses. But since it's not necessary surgery, I'm hesitant to do it. Is this what you had done - laser surgery on the eyes?

IWIWT - I recommend the carrot wine sold at the PCB Winery. It is actually made from carrots and is loaded with Vitamin C, it may head off future surgeries!

No laser surgery. I have to be awake for that:yikes: It was general anesthesia and took about an hour. The doctor shortened my inner eye muscles. I have two stitiches in each eye....they are a real pain. If you had asked last week, I would have told you to skip the surgery. However, today I am feeling like my old self so I would so go for it. It only took me a year to get up the courage to do it! Just know it will take a good week of resting with your eyes closed to get to feeling well. That was my problem. I was lead to believe that I would be back at work in 3 days!! That did not work for me. It seems children recover more quickly than adults. If you have any questions, pm or email me. I think it is worth it as I can look across the room and not see two of things!:D Makes driving much safer as well!!

May have to try it the next time I am in town. Where is the winery?

Congrats. on a big decision and great results.

My eyes (thank goodness) seem to be O.K. for my age, however I have experienced some double vision around about the time I open that second bottle!

It's over in PCB across from Ms. Newby's of all places. It is in St. Thomas Square at the corner of Thomas Drive and Joan Avenue.

All of the wine is incredible, even the hot pepper wine. ;-)
