It was my husbands idea for me to start a celebrity blog because I used to be in the music biz, and have met lots of famous (most of them nice) people, but although I enjoy reading snarky comments about the celebs, I am not comfortable writing about them. Anyway, He said If I don't get 50,000 hits by midnight tonight, I will have to enter the rat race and attempt to find a high paying job in Destin... which there are none. So what do I do? If you want to see the site... click the link and tell me what you think. You have to click the archives in order to see the rest of the entries. It's pretty funny, If you have a deranged sense of humor. But I really want honest opinions.

Thanks

Sometimes I can't believe the difference a good makeup artist makes in a celebrity's looks.

It is amazing. Wish I had my own personal make-up artist every day. I hate putting it on, taking it off, etc. But, the alternative (not putting it on at all) is just plain mean.

Oh it definitely makes a huge difference. While vacationing at Disney World my husband rode the elevator down with Jane Seymour and her escorts, this was during her Dr. Quinn days, sans makeup.

I was waiting in the lobby for hubbie and when she walked out of the elevator and he came out after they left, I asked him, "wasn't that Jane Seymour" and he looked kinda funny  and said "honestly without makeup I was not sure".

Watch out for your typos...some people can be very finicky about the blogs they choose to read. Typos can lead to high blood pressure in some individuals.

If that crap didn't sell, it wouldn't be on the rack by the gum at every grocery store in the US. I looked at your site the other day, and wondered why anyone enjoys belittling celebrities, whom they don't even know. Just not my cup of tea. Don't feel that I'm picking on just you. I also turn the Enquirer around every time I wait in line. I think that stuff tells us that it is okay to make fun of people's looks or problems, and that is a message of which I don't want to be a part.

Daughter is into celebrity gossip. I don't get it. But PerezHilton.com does all of that. That's enough IMHO.

looks like a recycled d-listed. having to back into the archives to look at previous posts was kind of tedious. a previous page button would have worked better for me, but maybe your blog software doesn't support that.

Thanks everyone, i made it!!! One thing that perez does that I wouldn't do is put the kids in there. I wouldn't make fun of a child, and i don't think I am as biting as he is. Maybe I will just do movies and tv and not write anything really bad about the people in particular, unless it was a bad acting job in a movie... Just wanted a feel of what people wanted to see. Thanks for the input.

I'm missing the connection between getting a 'job' and getting 50,000 clicks on a blog.....are they mutually exclusive? :idontno:

Holly, judging by the name of your site, I thought it WAS supposed to be about movies. Personally, I think keeping on that target, if I agreed with your taste in movies, would be more valuable to me as a viewer/clicker. The Flagpole, a free paper on the happs in Athens, GA, was a paper I read every week, and when I wanted to see a movie, I looked to see what this one local critic had to say, because he and I agreed on most every film that I saw. I thought it was a valuable tool for me to cut through the hype to find a good movie. However, so many people seem to like trash, so you'll have to figure out which venue talks to your soul.

OMG Can we introduce our daughters, please? Philippa came home from spring break in England with each day's newspaper, the kind that's a dead ringer for the Enquirer or The Star. The catch? As she wailed to her cousins, "You get all the celebrity gossip for free and we have to pay for it!!" The Brits don't charge for the scuttlebutt that comes in newprint. I have the feeling that her gossip freebies from the UK are going to be traveling up and down the dorm hallways after we take her back to Purdue tomorrow.
