They are going to have to split up, but they have a lot of girl friends down there that have managed to keep it together. I think they're heading back to the Red Bar tonight.

They were staying in Sandestin and there were apparently 5 units of college kids on spring break. A lot of UT kids and Bama kids. So they all joined forces and just stayed close to home so they weren't driving, etc. Which is good. But apparently the cops came on Sunday, nobody was 21 and if they had to come back they were going to arrest them all. Then yesterday Phead apparently smoothed things over on behalf of everyone with the realty company. Then around 7PM they had 15 minutes to pack and get out. They all moved to Seacrest and stayed at a brother's house and are now figuring out their next move. He said there are a lot of Auburn girls and they are going to split among the Alpha Gam's, ADPi's and Chi O houses. :roll:

Hey I was in his shoes once. (Freshman in college and a broken glass door) We were all scattered across Ft Lauderdale, I slept on the floor in some UK frat boys room with some Kappa Delta girls.

I never did find my suitcase Good times.

We had something similar happen to our place in Seacrest last year. The "overflow" group decided to help them selves to our neighbor's hot tub. (not sure why she doesn't keep her door locked to her hot tub area) She lives nearby. She asked them who they were. Imagine her surprise when they told her the owners gave them permission! :roll:

Of course that prompted a phone call to me. In turn I called my pmc and had them go over. We ruined someone's Spring Break. But that's ok, they had to not only forfeit most of their week's rental and security deposit. They also had to pay my neighbor to have her hot tub drained and cleaned and trash pick up for both places. They got the boot on Monday before lunch. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if this had gone on for several days!

Let me tell you, it is starting to get ugly in Seacrest. It seems that owners are more than happy to get the easy money.

It may not be a cash windfall in the long run. It might take much more on clean up. Those haz-mat teams aren't cheap.

As I stated in another thread. Many of the owners do not know who they are renting to and neither do the rental companies. So don't blame the owners - we just don't know. However, many owners are lowering the price to bring in more renters and you can see that generally brings in another "type" of people - The ones that you dont want as neighbors and I dont want as renters. As I told Punzy in another thread, if they are destroying the place or are disturbing the peace call 850 231 3706 or me and we can get it taken care of. Thanks!!

Yes it does happen. Some of the best years of my life was spring break in FWB, Destin, PCB, P'cola.

They were SOOO gross. Ugh. It was next door to Harpoon Harry's, so we just parked it and stayed between the pool and Harry's!
