Excellent new series on HBO. Very interesting history.

I watched part 1 and 2 tonight. Now I have to go and find some history books to read, or an a & e special.

I don't have HBO, so had to miss it, but the reviews were not very favorable in comparsion to the book, which I really liked.

So John you were pleased with it. Have you read the book?

Yeah, excellent bio by David McCullough. I gave it to my father shortly before he died, I remember him reading it intently and the discussions we had about it. I don't have HBO, but do know that they tend to do great work on their mini series.

Yes, the brewery was Samuel Adams, but he and Pres John Adams were second cousins. You guys go ahead and make fun of me, but I don't have HBO, so I have no idea what the show is about. It could very well be a show with a new star, John Adams.

I don't have HBO either SJ, but did read a very interesting review about in USAtoday and they were not complimentary to it, in comparsion to the book.

Basically they said if you had not read the book you would not be disappointed, if you had read the book you would.

But then I like David McCullough's work.

i was wondering if they will have further installments? I have seen the first two....but what will happen when they sign?
