Hey, all. My friends and I just finalized our plans for Vegas only in so far as when we're going and where we're staying. Does anyone have any suggestions to what we should or should not do? We're looking to spend the least amount of money we can (we won't be gambling much at all and we're all poor college kids). None of us have ever been there before and I wanted to get a broader picture of what we can expect.

Lots of street hawkers there that want you view their time share and give you free stuff. We didn't take them up on anything, they were all over like flies and started to get on our nerves. But that is an option. Have a grayt time!!!! We stayed at the Monte Carlo, about $99 to $150 per night. Don't forget, if you gamble, your drinks and sometimes food is free.

The Bellagio water fountain show is one of the best free things in Vegas and one I am sure you already know about, but it is a can't miss.

We're staying at Circus Circus. A friend told us that if you play the slots, a waitress comes around and gives you a free drink and it you tip her pretty well, she'll give you a couple more or better drinks.

That is correct and she has to pay for the drink she is giving you. Tip her like your buying a drink, the rest will be good and plentiful. She'll bring you whatever you want.

The Bellagio fountains are good and the garden inside the main lobby. Check out the wax museum.

Meet hot guys that have a table at Tao or The Bank and mooch off of them. That's classic girls trip to Vegas style.

Shops at the Forum at Ceaser's is fun, even if you just look.

Go to the top of the Stratosphere.

FTLOG, don't let FFF see that site!

There are a lot of inexpensive things to do in Vegas.

As SWGB mentioned the fountains are beautiful.

As Kfunn said just go through all the shops at Caesars Palace Forum Shops and gawk...I mean look around.

Be sure and go through all of the hotels especially Ballagio's.....gawk at the blown glass by Dale Chihuly in the main lobby, be sure and see the atrium/garden.....drool at the Fred Leighton jewelers and the art galleries.

Venetian has great shops too, along with just gawking through the hotel.

The new Wynn is lovely to see, they have a great lobby bar that is pretty much in the center and you can just people watch.

If you go to the poker machines, put in a $20.00 and play off of that for a while you will get free drinks...bartender told me you have to be placing $2.00 bets to get those.

We go at least twice a year....I will post more as I think of them.

Thanks for your help!!! We're going June 4-10th. My best friend knows some Australians that are going to be there and I'm pretty much going to do a LOT of flirting. ^_^

Sounds like you've pretty much made up your mind as to what you're going to do in Vegas....I'll just pass along 4 things for you to keep in mind:

(1) In June, Vegas is HOT(!) (But it's dry heat......like a blow torch)

(2) Because the hotels/casinos on the strip are SO BIG and SO LIT UP they "appear" a lot closer together than they actually are. So even though it may appear that Bellagio is a pleasant stroll from Circus Circus--it's not--especially in summer (and with a load on). Get to know the monorail and transport system and don't risk doubling down with the money you need to ensure you can get back to your hotel safely (and on your own if necessary).

(3) The House ALWAYS Wins.

(4) Play the 'change machines' and buy your drinks--you'll come out ahead.

We are going in August! ;-)

The blown glass (I can't spell the artists name) is awesome. You are looking at about 2 million dollars worth of glass.
