Does anyone use Netflix?

I have several friends that love it, and I love the idea of not buying every movie I only want to see maybe just once. I can't bear movie rental stores anymore because of the rude loser brain dead people that work in most of them. (There is my pet peeve- most of these employees nedd to crawl back to their parent's basement!).

Anyway- good experiences? Bad experiences? Is it as easy as it sounds?

Both my kiddos use Netflix and LOVE it! I have spent the last 6 months trying to get them to transfer their charges off my credit card. They both use debit cards and TRY to tell me Netflix won't take them! My daughter is really into documentaries and tells me the list is endless!

We've had good luck with Blockbuster.com. We've never had one problem.

I just recently starting using Netflix and I love it. You get your movies in the mail, you watch them when you want too, you put them back in the mail and they send you more!!! It is great. No standing in line at the video store, no late fees, and take as long as you want to watch them!!! I would recommend it!

We use Netflix. Never had a problem and the turn around on new movies is really quick.

We just signed up with Blockbuster.com. Got our first movies yesterday. So far so good. We picked them because the give you 2 free "in-store" rentals a month. I'll keep you posted.

I did a 3 mo trial with Netflix and thought it was great. I really like they system they use for selecting movies. ie- other people who rented this movie also rented.... Also, if you like a particular director, writer, or actor, you can see all movies featuring that person. Really cool. I did not continue the service because I just don't watch that many movies, but the turnaround time was great, and it would beat paying for some movie channels.

I hear netflix users are sending dvds to their friends to view before they are ultimately mailed back. Sounds like a good idea.

We signed up with NetFlix about a month ago and really like it. Our small town video shop often has the best films rented by the time we get there. Also, we don't always feel like watching a movie or paying late charges. But the best thing is the choice one has and how the movies are categorized. There are instant reviews, along with reviews by key critics. We like foreign films and documentaries best and NetFlix has hands down the best selection I have ever seen. The movies arrive very quickly after you select them. NetFlix offers a free trial period if you want to see if they are right for you.

Does anyone know if these services will ship the movies to us when we are at the beach, but under the existing account? We have movie channels at our house because the video stores seem to offer predominantly shoot-em'-up blockbusters and we have to drive to Seagrove to get a movie or return it. NetFlix would be great down there if we could just change the mailing address for limited periods of time.

Yep, you can, because you can keep them for as long as you want. It is a good deal!!!

That's why we went with Blockbuster.com, too. The coupons come in handy and it makes the whole thing cheaper in the long run. We've used them for about 6 months and have had zero problems.

Donna, could you *or anyone else with Netflix* look up the Scary Movie category? And tell us some really good scary ones?

We have been with Netflix for almost a year now and love it.
I just switched my address and I am sure the turnaround will not be as fast as when we were in Denver, but am not too worried about it. I am a movie nut, but am not the kind to go through three flicks in one week.

Netflix is looking good. The local Blockbuster is forever w/o first runs because of the new return policy.

No, that's not it....I'm beginning to forget which face is scarier! FYI....my son was a NASCAR freak for a couple of years when he was a young lad. He had everything about the people, the sport, the tracks all memorized. One night at dinner in an attempt to stump him, my daughter asked him what some driver's wife's name was....He didn't miss a beat...he knew her name and where they lived!!!! The whole family was well versed in all things Nascar!!! Good times!

Having lived in that armpit of a city Daytona, for twelve years and seen NASCAR races as a kid before it was a "big deal", I don't much care for the big business it has become. I just find "The Kang" Sir Richard, to be one of a kind. I mean, that accent ain't fer reeel, is it? I find it funny we all wring our hands about some 4 wheelers at Grayton, and these good ole boys were racing on the sand for ten years! Of course, looking back, Daytona was just a less developed carnival back then compared to what it is today. Netflix to NASCAR.....

We have our own movie threater and tons of movies...we enjoy inviting friends over for dinner and movie nights (and popcorn). Netflix sounds great though. We're going to be at the beach for the winter. Maybe we should look into it. Don't know if we could arrange to have it while we're at the beach.
