Just a warning to all those with children......keep the silly putty away from the t.v. remote! ARGGGG
My son put it on the front of the remote, and it WON'T come off...it's in between the little cracks and stuck on ALL of the tiny little buttons, what a mess. Luckily, I remembered the OOPS! I wasn't sure if it would remove the putty without removing the #'s on the remote, but it did!!! So beware!!!!

Silly Putty has been banned from my house! It got in the carpet and the sofa and would not come out! Sorry about your remote...I guess it's one of those things we parents have to find out for ourselves...live and learn!

I'm wondering if you put it in the freezer for an hour or so, if it you could get more off. It's amazing how you can get candle wax off of stuff by freezing it. It just sort of chips off. It'd be worth a try.

...and keep the Eggo Waffles out of the VCR. They go in much easier than they come out, and the syrup is almost impossible to get out of the VCR. My sister is thankful that the Eggos don't conveniently fit into the DVD drive of her computer.

We tried to use the VCR to watch my son's birth the other night and the tape would not go in. I got a flashlight and there were 4 dvd's jammed in the VCR.

Wonder who could have done that??

When Will was 3, he was very concerned about "bad guys". So he hid bdarg's wallet under his bed so the bad guys wouldn't get it. A few months later, after bdarg got a new driver's license, reissued credit cards, etc., I found the wallet. He was "just trying to help".

We're trying to break little man of throwing things in the trash can. If something is missing, we go to the trash and there it is.

I understand that Smashed Grilled Cheese sandwiches fit rather nicely into the VCR slot.

Maybe he'll rub off on Mrs. Landlocked. :clap_1:

My rule: If it is on the floor for more than 2 days, you don't need it. So I throw it in the trash can. Is that wrong?

I like that rule!! I live with a pack rat. Drives me crazy!! He's got a box in the basement that would hold a fridge that is packed full of old bills - receipts - some dating as far back as 1988!!!!! When we moved in June it took two guys to pick it up. I think he was embarrased to tell them what was in there!

We bought our house 5 years ago and we still have boxes in the attic that have not been unpacked. Why are they there? I don't know. Apparently I don't need what is inside them.

When our son was about 2, he was in the garage with his dad who was sanding down some wood or something. My son got the sanding block and started sanding down the whole side of our car!!! And it was only about 4 months old. We had to take it in to have the whole side repainted! It was not just "scratched" a little, it was literally sanded down! Made my husband sick to his stomach.

Yep, sounds like a 2 year old trying to help!! My Mom worked nights and one day she woke up from a short nap on the couch to find my sister waxing all the furniture with a stick of butter! Yikes.

Apparently this is not a unique occurance. I know the head recruiter for the Atlanta Falcons, who used to live down the street from my Grandma, and he has a similar story to tell. When he and his best friend (no, the "best friend" is not me. He is the brother of my best friend at the time.) were about 5 or 6 years old, I seem to recall one afternoon when his best friend found a can of red spray paint in the basement, and the boys decided to paint his Dad's brand-new white Ford pick-up truck shiny, although spotty, red. They did not bother with sanding prior to painting. At least your kid knows that you are supposed to sand first, and he is only two!
