The old fella we bought the house from was in love with these trees (he planted five of them 30 years ago) and now I have a bajillion of these things in my yard. You can't even walk across the yard without twisting your ankle.

They look kindof cool though....Call Martha Stewart...she could make something grand out of those with a little spray paint and pipe cleaners.

Maybe she can pop the dents out of the hood of my wife's car while she's at it. You can't even walk under the dang tree. These suckers would knock you out cold.
I imagine she can probably suck the dents out of anything.

Does anyone here have these gigantic acorns falling in your yards?I love that this is what you do at work! :clap_1:

They're Bur Oak acorns. So neat looking. A good tree too, so you treat it nicely LL --------- don't be nicking it with that mower!
I bet they get launched all over the place! Do you have to yell FOUR! ?
I don't any more. The neighbors know to go inside when I mow the grass in the fall.
