I am a jeans and t-shirt sort of gal, but the holiday party looms ahead.
December 9, in Jacksonville.
All my fancy-pants clothing is in storage in Panama City. Husband has nice work clothes here, but nothing too formal.
We are going to try to get a couple things out of storage, but it isn't the kind of situation where you just knock on the door and find your stuff.
We might have to just go shopping.
Do you think we could find a few nice things at Dillard's? Or should we maybe travel further west towards SoWal?
Or maybe I could order something online--but what if it doesn't fit? Argh.
Any suggestions?

As far as velvet goes, let's put it this way, the personal shopper I use at Neiman's in ATL said to buy the etched velvet jacket and dress it up or down for parties. http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod24400063&parentId=cat000048&masterId=cat000059&index=11&cmCat=
Just to clarify, Beach Runner, $500 for a jacket has nothing to do with the "casual" style that you talk about being in style. Personal shopper! You better get rid of all that crap and move to the beach.

I can show you the way BR...to TARGET!!! Man, what $500.00 would buy! I'd have enough to dress Molly if I were so inclined!
Yeah, sand on velvet is impossible!

Affirmative. They do have an awesome shoe sale twice a year. My daughter and I liked to go try on all those $500.00 + shoes we see in the magazines. And then we laugh when we try to walk in the 5 inch heels....Good Times!

You probably have what they call a "multiple diagnosis". I'll see that they block out a long time for your entrance exam.

No, it's "Needless Markup."
I just don't have time to shop because (a) the only place to shop in my town is Wal-Mart, and (b) my job is SO demanding lately that I'm up until almost midnight every night doing work. I'm totally fried. So that's why I need a personal shopper. It's not a status thing. And BTW when I shop, I shop at Neiman's because the hit ratio (finding things for which I'm looking per hour of shopping) is the greatest. I really just don't have time to shop. When I have any spare time, we're off to SoWal (like last weekend).
You guys are really giving me a hard time! But I know you love me. Well, let's put it this way, I love you guys. You say it like it is. I admire that.
