So I was at the mall with my cousins this afternoon, grabbibg some junk food in the foodcourt, when all of a sudden a woman screams out at the top of her lungs, a bloody murder scream, "SOMEBODY HELP ME I CANNOT FIND MY TWO YEAR OLD." Then she began frantically running through the foodcourt yelling the child's name, while all the while people were approaching her and trying to calm her down and get the child's description. We did not stick around to see the outcome of this horrible situation but I hope all is well with her and her family tonight. Before we left the mall, I saw four police cars pulled up to the foodcourt entrance of the mall, so hopefully they were able to find this woman's child. :(

Oh my gosh! What a nightmare for that poor mother! I hope all is well now. I have had some scares before and there is nothing quite like that. Malls are dangerous places for two year olds who are not in strollers. Steeleing 4 would just take off and talk to any stranger she could find. It's a miracle she made it to college. 😱

My heart stops when I hear these things. This is what I call real terror.

Bsmart, have you heard anything on the news? No news would be good news of course.

I am assuming bsmart is at home in or around the Atlanta area. We watched the early news this a.m. no word on a missing child or an AMBER ALERT in the metro area. I hope this is a good thing as well! Usually those are at the very top of the news stories here.

Same here GTTBM. I guess this could be considered a good sign, and this family was in fact reunited. We were at the Mall of Georgia--huge suburban mall, with lots of distractions for children, like fountains and a carousel.

I live on that side of town too! We also read the paper and no mention in the Metro section. So I'll bet there was a happy ending! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
