This is so much fun playing with avatars! I like that holiday mermaid, Peapod. I have to tell you this funny story about mermaids. In our condo, I have a mermaid plaque that says "mermaid cove." I also have a handmade glass mermaid that's in the kitchen, and a vintage Italian mermaid poster near the dining room table. They're all different and (to me ;-) ) interesting. So when I found a mermaid shelf at Lily Pads, I bought it to keep all the other mermaids happy. I thought I was so smart to have a recognizable decorator theme going in the condo! That is, until I told my teenage daughter, who promptly said "Stop it Mama with all this mermaid stuff! You're going to scare people away. They'll start thinking you're like those crazy old ladies that have a million cats around..."

OUCH OUCH OUCH! Out of the mouth of babes! No more mermaids in the condo!

One of the condos we stayed at this summer had an elephant theme going on. We made up a game for the kids. They had 5 minutes to go around and count all the elephants. Some were not easily spotted like the entry way mirror that had 11 around the frame. I think there were 27 total. It was fun...the kids will always remember the "elephant condo". I've always loved mermaids too so I'm sure I'd love your condo...no matter how many you have!

Thanks. Since I have empty nest, I indulge the girls a little more. When my younger daughter was home, she always wanted the dogs to have a birthday party, so I kept up the tradition. Maggie and Sophie loved the cheese and dog treat cake.
