Diva here walked outside and it was sunny...
And about 40 degrees...
And the MTA did not strike.
I just needed some love.

I have a theory that your salary goes up in proportion to the amount of time you have to wear pantyhose. Like it's kind of a compensation for having to wear the nastiest things fashion ever gave to us.
Which probably explains why I've always been miserably paid. I refuse to wear hose! Bare legs RULE!

It's like the men in their suits, ties, undershirts, etc. I can remember when we lived in the Clearwater area for 10 yrs. and worked at a white-coller job, with humidity in the 90's. We wore suits, hose, etc. I tho't I was going to have a heat stroke each day walking to and from my car, my make-up melting off. We wore water-proof mascara!!!! And the men all wore the full suits. I always felt so sorry for them.

And if we had an event or had to take an editor out, ect. we would dress up. That was the beauty of having Juicy as a client. My dad almost DIED when he saw the way I dressed.

Now I dress up. I'm in heels everyday. Never really hose though. Actually...never. It's nice to dress up a little though. I do miss wearing jeans though.

You know what will feel funny? Wearing jeans to the beach. I've never been there when it's cool enough to put them on.

Due to a transit strike yours truly is walking 2.5 miles to work. In heels and hose. In freezing rain. You know, somehow I enjoy walking in NYC. I don't know why, especially when I obsess over whether or not I'll get a parking spot right by my building.
Merry Christmas.
My husband's boss is one of the top 50 wealthiest Americans (according to Forbes), and the other day he walked in the snow from his high-rise office building (that he owns) to Grand Central Station. He said that cabs charge too much because they have to drive farther than one would have to walk due to all of the one-way streets.

It's how you have to get around. Cabs are just exorbitant these days. Unless I'm going out to dinner, it's raining really hard or I'm in a major rush I'll walk it or take the subway. I used to take cabs everywhere...it just adds up a lot.

And usually it's quicker to walk.
