First I couldn't collect my PMs this morning and then when Merman and I came back from shopping in the late afternoon, there was a "slight problem." Slight problem??? I went into complete withdrawals! I thought to myself "Omigod now I'll have no excuse not to finish (what the heck! START) the Christmas cards, put the empty boxes of Christmas decorations back in the basement, make the biscotti for tomorrow's party...."

It was major panic time!

The upside of it was that instead of the usual frozen dinner my family has been getting of late, I had enough undivided time to make them a complete dinner from scratch, including the dessert! They didn't know what hit them. 😱

We even watched a movie.

Yes, it IS funny! Because I also thought of that post about "you know you've been on SoWal too long..." My NEW answer is "...when you have the DTs because the website's down all day..." :floor:

Yes- it was very weird today...do they make "patches" like nic patches, except for message board withdrawal?

hee hee hee....I was very close to using a SoWal.com sticker in this very manner! jdarg...I nominate you as our official SoWal Homeland Security Czar! You did an outstanding job (unlike Brownie!!) yesterday as a first responder to our critical crash!

BR...did you get a response from your email? I did not! Kurt...could we please have a fair and balanced report on WTF happened? Thank You!

Did y'all forget to put your check in the mail? :floor:

Here's the response I got:
Hi,

Your server is now operating normally again. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Well, if he lives in Dallas, his street address will be just fine with me!!!!

Since I thought those emails went to you, he got a very distressed Miss Kitty sending an SOS. Serves him right!

Hey Bryan...it would be best for you to not let that happen again around here. You might find yourself on Judge Judy with a class action suit brought on by a large group of sowallers in various stages of withdrawal...not pretty, I can guarantee you, sir!!!!

Uh, I'd be raising hell! Not a satisfactory response from Bryan, IMO.

I like the way he provide his last name. Just like every other customer service person. Too scared their home will be invaded if they give out their last name. :floor:We would sick Ms Kitty onto Bryan H.

You mean he ain't in Dallas? :bang: You are probably correct. The customer service is probably jobbed out in India or Pakistan, which may be alright if they actually gave a hoot. It is just another case of people not being accountable for their actions. If we don't know their full name, they cannot be held accountable. :funn:

Or it's like the IT guy where I work - - he's about 18 years old! A true computer/programmer nerd. At least he's local, tho!
