I have the most wonderful recipe that uses a pile of marshmallow creme. It's a New England cookie I grew up with--Whoopie Pies. I'll post it later. It is heavenly!

Y'know, every time I look at the mermaid ornament avatar without reading glasses, she looks like a pickle to me. 😱

I have the most wonderful recipe that uses a pile of marshmallow creme. It's a New England cookie I grew up with--Whoopie Pies. I'll post it later. It is heavenly!

A mermaid in a pickle you mean...she's hanging on a tree instead of floating around in the sea!!! I do see the resemblence though!

I was Christmas shopping today and saw the funniest mermaid/merman ornaments at a store called Metropolitan. I thought of you!

Aw, I wish I could have seen them, well, maybe it's a good thing I didn't because I'd have bought them! My family is about this close to OD'ing on the mermaid stuff...and I'm just getting started. Mermaid shopping (er, "touching") is what I'm going to do in SoWal during Christmas week. Lily Pads, here I come!

On our way home from a concert tonight we stopped for minty sundaes. Peppermint icecream, hot fudge and whipped cream. YUM!

Ocean Lover, I have that same ornament on my tree, the blue purse. And lucky you to get your daughter to pose in front of the tree. I think I'm going to have to hog-tie my daughter and son just to get them for five minutes in one place. Teenagers have more energy than is humanely possible.

That's funny, I always thought they slept all the time. But things have changed and there's so many activites and things for kids to do nowadays. I'll have a teenager in a year and right now she never wants to sleep. I have to make her sleep in sometimes. She gets sick easy and she needs her rest!!!!

No, we don't have a pickle though we should get one, for good luck. I have lots of other "food" on the tree, though! Those Christopher Radko ornaments come in all sorts of delectable shapes.

i always try to get my sis some type of hamburger ornament for her tree - true story here : her maiden name is hamm, and she married a guy named berger, so she is mrs hammberger. :floor:

audie, your sister would love Whoopie Pies! They look sort of like hamburgers when you put them together, except the middle is white.
